Post Conflict Sri Lanka : Challenges and Regional Stability
The multinational forum of learning initiated through def seminar 2011 and 2012, will continue in to 2013, guided by the theme “Post Conflict Sri Lanka : Challenges and Regional Stability”. Defence Seminar 2013 will enlarge the scope of discourse from post conflict development and prosperity of Sri Lanka to regional stability.
Rapid growth, economic development and prosperity enabled through national reconciliation are some of the drivers contributing to stability which will be showcased. The rich experience of a proud nation emerging from the devastation of 30 yrs of conflict and influencing the stability of the region will provide an unparalleled learning and interactive opportunity.
The Theme guarantees a lively and thought provoking learning experience in a setting of professional candor and intellectual understanding. Panels representing national, regional and global perspectives would form the epicenter of the seminar. Informal professional interactions outside the seminar with intellectuals both local and foreign, and key decision makers leading national security efforts of Sri Lanka, offer valuable insights on local as well as regional security. .
